Built in 1910, Hotel Whitcomb is an elegant boutique hotel that is a fine example of 19th century Edwardian architecture, with elegant Art Nouveau stained glass windows and hand-painted Moroccan tiles, which suggest its la belle époque heritage. The Hotel Whitcomb is an ally member of the “Green” Hotels Association. Public Transportation Public transportation is easily accessible with BART stopping right at the hotel's front entrance, at the Civic Center (SF) station. There is also a Starbucks Cafe in the lobby. Exhibitors San Francisco Bead and Design Show features the work of 150 artists, artisans, and merchants, who are chosen by juried application and by invitation for traditional, ethnographic, and contemporary handwork and artisanship, showcasing handmade beads, wearable art, ethnographic art, designer components, gold & silver, embellishments, lapidary, art jewelry, ceramics, gemstones, glass art, textiles, fiber arts, metalwork, enameling, art couture, handwovens, collectibles, decorative arts, and artisan supplies. Exhibitors are located in the ballrooms, showrooms, and conference rooms of the Hotel Whitcomb.
